Questions

Frequently asked

Something else on your mind? Send a request and ask away.

Who will be teaching my child?

Every session is taught by Ms. Fatima herself. She has more than 7 years of tutoring experience across grades 1–12, plus classroom teaching experience. Read more about her.

What happens on the free intro call?

It’s a relaxed 15-minute conversation with you and your child. We talk about school, what’s been hard, and what you’d like to see improve. You’ll leave with a suggested plan and no obligation to book.

How does the first-3-sessions rate work?

Every new student’s first 3 sessions are $15/hr online or from $20/hr in person. You can mix online and in person. From the 4th session, the regular rates apply.

Why does the in-person rate say “from”?

In-person sessions happen at a public place near you, and the rate depends on the location. Once we agree on a spot, you’ll get the exact price before anything is booked.

My child is in 2nd grade. Is an hour too long?

It can be. For grades 1–3 we offer 30-minute sessions at half the hourly rate, which suits younger attention spans well.

Do you help with STAAR, SAT or ACT?

Yes. STAAR prep is available for math and reading, and SAT and ACT prep for the math sections.

How do I pay?

We accept Zelle, Cash App or cash.

What do I need for online sessions?

A laptop or tablet with a camera, a quiet spot, and a notebook. Sessions run on Google Meet, and you’ll get the link by email.

About your tutor

Hi, I’m Fatima Tabba.

I’ve spent more than seven years helping students from first grade through high school understand their work and believe they can do it.

My story

Why I teach

I started tutoring in 2016, working one-on-one and in small groups with middle and high school students in math, English, science and history. What kept me going was the moment a student who used to say “I’m just bad at math” solved a problem on their own and realized they weren’t.

Later I taught in a classroom, leading social-emotional learning lessons. That work showed me how much confidence, patience and a calm space matter. A student who feels safe asking questions learns faster.

T² Learning brings both together: a teacher’s planning and structure with a tutor’s one-on-one attention.

How I teach

Every student starts with a short conversation about where they are and where they want to be. From there I build a plan around their class, their pace and the way they learn best, whether that’s drawing it out, working through examples, or talking it through. Parents hear from me regularly about progress.
